Be immersed in the rugged beauty of our Northern bushland, from the luxury and comfort of this two story (dressed up) shipping container. Open your eyes in the morning to a breathtaking escarpment of native bush. This makes the perfect space to come home to after exploring Litchfield's waterfalls and attractions. From the upstairs deck you can see both sunset and sunrise, and in the wet season be amazed by the dramatic storms illuminating the sky. Our three cabins are 70m to 100m apart, which means up to three families can rent the cabins with solar path lighting between.
For the extra guest or children we provide a floor mattress and bedding on request.
We have recently added outdoor Bush Tubs to each cabin. A great way to
cool off and appreciate a beautiful starry night with your loved ones.
We (the owners) live on-site, about a three minute walk from the cabins. Our door is open, should you have any questions about your accomodation or the local area.
We are located just 8km from Wangi Falls, one of Litchfield's largest and most iconic waterfalls. For most of the year it is open for swimming. There are two cafes and a helicopter tour operator within the same distance. There are also several other smaller water holes nearby. Most water attractions are accessible by car. If you do have a 4WD be sure to go off-road to visit the amazing, less accessible sites.
You'll find in your fridge some bacon, eggs, and a few treats to welcome you to Hideaway. Our cabins are solar powered during the day and (quiet) generator at night. Both rooms in your cabin can be air conditioned. This makes it a wonderful place in our often unbearable build up, unless sitting in one of our newly added outdoor Tubs or nearby rock pools or under a waterfall of course!
Children are welcome! We can make space on the floor, provide mattresses, bedding and a cot. Children 5 and over will be $35 per night extra. We can also accommodate a third adult at $35 per night extra. If there are two extra adults you would need to consider booking out an additional cabin.

SINGLE NIGHTS:
We will allow single night bookings when cabin is  booked both sides of the desired night. Single night bookings must be  made directly via email: stay@hideawaylitchfield.com
Please provide name and phone number in email. A quote and a booking link will be sent to you. All single nights are the same price as weekend nights $510.
